We won a Webby Award!

Music Videos Without Music: We Can’t Stop, a video I’ve created with CollegeHumor, just won a Webby in the Video Remixes/Mashup category.

As a recap, Music Videos Without Music is a series of video remixes I’ve created which replace the music on video clips with fake soundscapes. Here’s the winner video, based on the infamous We Can’t Stop by Miley Cyrus.

We were facing very tough competition. All the nominated videos were amazing and I feel truly honoured that the jury of the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences picked my work (and the work of the CH crew and Brooke Penning!) as the best of the year. It’s one of the greatest honours you can get in online media.

There’d be a lot to write about, but I’m still trying to wrap my head around this, since I only found out this morning. I really hope to be able to get all the papers done and visit New York City where the award ceremony will be held in just three weeks!
